“Access to library space and School Library Services will have an impact on attainment at a pivotal point in a child’s educational life. Studies have shown that children who read for pleasure from a young age are much more likely to do well throughout their academic life.”
APPG Report 2014 ‘The Beating Heart of the School’
We are proud to provide the children at our schools with access to excellent library facilities supported by the Hampshire School Library Service. Each school has its own well-stocked library offering a wide-range of quality, age-appropriate reading material. Our librarian works in the Infant School three mornings a week and in the Junior School five afternoons a week. Each class has a timetabled session when the children are able to come and change their books and enjoy time browsing and reading.
Children may borrow one book at a time for a 14-day loan period. You can support your child by reminding them to bring their library book to school on the correct day. Reminders will be sent home for books that are more than 28 days overdue. We do not charge for books that are missing, but do ask that losses are acknowledged by a signature from a parent or carer.

Our school library catalogues, hosted by Junior Librarian.net, can be accessed from a pc or laptop at home via the links below. You can view current and past loans, search the catalogue, and get suggestions for books your child may like to borrow next. Your child can also write reviews of books they have borrowed.
Alternatively you can access the catalogue using the iMLS app for smartphones and tablets. This app can be freely downloaded by going to your app provider and searching ‘iMLS’. Once installed you will need to enter the school postcode and select the Infant or Junior school.
You will need your child’s logon number and password which will be supplied to them at school.
