Learning Outside the Classroom
Here at Bursledon we are very lucky to have such amazing outside space. Each school has their own playground and field as well as an outside classroom area in each school. Our extensive woods allow us to provide Forest School across the Federation as well as classes being able to use these amazing facilities during the school day. The Junior school also benefits from a pond and allotment area.
Our outside learning vision at Bursledon is to develop the child as the whole child and allow them to explore and connect with all aspects of their learning. We believe that learning outside the classroom can enhance and enrich the curriculum of our school by providing experiences that may other not be possible. Using the outside we are teaching our children to respect and care for all things and to connect with nature and the wonders of the world.
Learning outside the classroom
