Eco-Warriors

The Eco warriors have been assembled and have begun their 2024-25 mission to protect the planet by reducing, recycling and reusing.  Our first major mission has been our Christmas jumper recycling project. Where we encouraged parents to donate their old Christmas jumpers to sell at our Christmas fayre!

We've also got off to a great start in 2025 by starting a few recycling projects alongside our wonderful PTA.  We now offer a clothes recycling bank in our school grounds, which not only helps to reduce clothing going into landfill but also helps to generate money for the school!

 

One of our biggest and most successful recycling schemes has been the fantastic idea of one of our Infant Eco Warriors - Teddy! For the second year in a row, Teddy has asked the Bursledon community to donate their empty chocolate containers so that he can recycle them. We have been blown away by the number of containers that we have collected and are proud of the fact that they will now be recycled as opposed to going to landfill.  Well done Teddy!
