The Federation of

Bursledon C of E (C) Infant & Bursledon (CA) Junior Schools

In response from children's feedback across the Federation, collected by school council, we have just completed our very first Art Week! What a success it has been!

We have enjoyed getting messy, exploring a range of media and expressing ourselves creatively during the week.

The children have been working on different projects to brighten up the school grounds. They have created wind chimes, bird feeders, weaving, have painted flag stones and have all worked to create a beautiful pebble path at the front of the schools.

More pictures and videos to follow...

We want to say a huge thank you to all of the staff, parents and extra helpers for all of their hard work and support during the week to make sure that everything ran smoothly.

Everyone had such a fun time helping out...here are what some of the helpers thought...

'It was amazing helping out on Tuesday for Art Week...I was with the bug hotel crew in the morning & what a super little group they were! The team work & the way they supported each other with the tasks was incredible...they certainly showed the school values of love, respect & aspire to its fullest! The afternoon I spent weaving in Octopus class base and again it was wonderful, all the children working so well together creating some amazing wall hangings, the foundation children were brilliant and the few older ones in the group worked so well with them...the staff all put in so much hard work and effort for the children to pull off this amazing art week...I feel very proud that my children are part of such an amazing school!'

'I absolutely loved Art Week! Helping out over a couple of days I saw how much the kids got out of it and how much they loved getting involved; they worked together beautifully! They are so proud of their creations, as they should be! I just wanted to say HUGE 'thank you' to all the staff for such a fantastic week. They put so much effort in with such limited funds and resources but it has totally been worth it!! I hope there will be a next time!'
